We can tell that they’re really trying to be the best Mexican restaurant in town, and the huge variety of menu options, food quality, tasty salsa, and smooth margaritas do not disappoint! But the last two visits have exposed a few weaknesses-mainly having to do with service. We’ve dined at Riviera Maya a few times over the past two years and keep hoping they’ll work the kinks out. First off, the 16-once Margarita that I thought would be $6.50 based on the sign by the door was $7.50 (because it wasn't one of the limited flavors. I want to like this place, but I also feel a bit nickle-and-dimed when I dine here.
